Mercytech Consulting began over 15 years ago as a family business. Our first mission was to develop specialized software for an underserved community. Along the way, we saw a greater need in another direction, and we shifted our focus to what would become our core work: delivering secure, compliance-driven IT for organizations in tightly regulated industries.
Over the following years, we became the team called in when a project had to be executed to the highest standard. We delivered IT buildouts for coworking locations across North America, from Vancouver, BC to Atlanta, GA, working alongside national partners who brought us in for the technical execution. By 2018, our reputation for handling high-stakes logistics caught the attention of enterprise players. A major telecom company entrusted us to architect and manage a nationwide Point of Sale rollout; this was a complex deployment that we successfully sustained over a rigorous four-year engagement.
When the 2020 pandemic halted our coworking deployments overnight, we adapted again. We pivoted quickly to support medical practices facing unprecedented technological strain, leaning on our managing partner’s deep background in healthcare IT. The strict security and compliance standards inherent to healthcare translated directly to other regulated sectors. Soon, law firms, financial institutions, and accounting practices turned to us for that same discipline. We built the secure environments these organizations needed to navigate the crisis and safely transition their workforces back to the office.
For most of our history, Mercytech grew entirely through word-of-mouth, a rarity in the tech industry. Every client came to us because someone they trusted vouched for our work. As we now expand our footprint deliberately, those same values still drive everything we do.
